Almeter eventually returned to the legal community through an internship with the Criminal Appeals Division in the Office of the Attorney General in June 2002. He researched Federal and state case law and wrote and submitted briefs on behalf of the state to the Court of Special Appeals. After the internship, Almeter began service as a Law Clerk with Salsbury, Clements, Bekman, Marder and Adkins, a firm specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.
