• Gentex Corporation is focused on the safety and preservation of life, offering a wide range of leading products, materials and technologies, with a turnover of about $150m in 2008 and 700 employees.
• The focus of my role is to provide vibrant leadership and direction for everyday business activities of Clearweld Group reporting directly into the Vice President of Technology and Business Development
• Clearweld is an innovative plastics joining technology commercialised through Gentex as part of the strategy to develop commercial markets for products
• Spearheading the development of business activities and marketing strategies within identified segments through detailed market analysis, which identified microfluidics, fuel cells and medical products as sectors for growth at greater than $1m pa, with market penetration strategies through Partnerships
• Accountable for sourcing new business opportunities and potential Partners for the global supply chain, which was achieved through my global networking skills and contacts throughout each sector
• Carrying out extensive in depth negotiations with board level executives establishing requirements facilitating profitable business growth from a Greenfield technology to >$½m in 2008.
• Forging and maintaining strong working relationships with sales channel partners and other key players in the value chain to build market access and penetrate key market segments with the value proposition.

• Accountable for leading commercial activities for Clearweld®, an innovative laser welding technology for plastics and negotiating the licence agreement to accrue a minimum annual Royalty of $32,000, with the potential for significant growth to $1m pa upon maturity
• Driving forward increased sales levels generating increased sales across a wide range of sectors and companies
