Fred Teitman - Professional Summary:

Fred Teitman has spent the majority of his career with General Electric Company (GE) Transportation. Upon graduating college, Fred Teitman took part in the Information Management Leadership Program with GE. In this two-year program providing 12 weeks of formal training and requiring participation in 4 six-month assignments, Fred Teitman earned acknowledgement as promising talent and won the GE Intern Mentor of the Year award for leadership development. His second position brought him to San Jose, California, where he served as Process Engineering Leader for the eBay, Inc., subsidiary PayPal, Inc. In this position, Fred Teitman reduced the product-to-market time by 50 percent and increased productivity by 12 percent, a feat that earned him a promotion after 8 months of employment. Fred Teitman continued providing savings by streamlining the engineering hiring process: reducing time spent on recruitment by 83 percent and decreasing ramp-up time by 50 percent, which returned 873 days back to the company. Also, Fred Teitman managed audits that documented, improved, and ensured business control standards. In 2005, Fred Teitman returned to GE Transportation as a Remanufacturing Leader. In this capacity, he led the Planning and Asset Management team in the development of a consolidated scorecard which ultimately improved inventory turns, reduced the repair and return cycle, and identified supply chain bottlenecks. Fred Teitman then accepted the role of Commodity Leader with Sales and Operations Planning, where he initiated the effort to refine the capacity planning process. This ultimately improved capacity availability by identifying critical constraints on the business. Fred Teitman also earned an award for his efforts in reducing inventory by 40 percent. Prior to beginning his professional career, Fred Teitman attended Pennsylvania State University where he studied advertising, sociology, information systems, and statistical analysis. Earning high marks and placement on the dean’s list, Fred Teitman graduated in 2001 with a B.A. Currently, Fred Teitman serves GE Transportation as Commercial Operations Manager in the Mining Division.
