About Fredrik Stoor


Fredrik Stoor was born on February 28, 1984 in Stockholm, Sweden. He became a part of the Sweden national football team in 2008 and played his first match for the team on January 13, 2008 against Costa Rica. He was selected for the national team for the Euro 2008 and played three matches in the tournament, including a 2-0 win against defending champions Greece on June 10, 2008. As of 2008, Fredrik Stoor has made 8 appearances for Sweden.


In 1996, when Fredrik Stoor was 12, he started his football career by joining Hammarby IF in Stockholm as a youth player. He became a part of its senior club in 2002 and made his first appearance for it in 2003. In his stint with Hammarby IF, he has made a total of 51 appearances and scored 2 goals. Fredrik Stoor moved to Norway's Rosenborg Ballklub (BK) in December 2006 and made 46 appearances, including 29 first-team appearances. He also represented Rosenburg in four Champions League matches, including a 2-0 victory in an away match against Valencia.


His performances for Rosenborg BK caught the attention of teams from across Europe and, he was signed by Fulham Football Club, a Premier League club, on a four-year contract till 2012, on July 30, 2008. Fredrik Stoor made his debut for Fulham on August 27, 2008 in the Carling Cup 2nd round tie against Leicester City.


Roy Hodgson, manager of Fulham, is pleased to have signed Fredrik Stoor for his club and adds that it was his impressive performance in the Euro 2008 that won him an entry into Fulham. He further tells that Fredrik Stoor will form an excellent cover in the right-back position along with John Pantsil, fellow Fulham defender.


Having won the confidence of the Fulham manager, Fredrik Stoor hopes to impress the fans with his performance.
