Raised in Ashland, Massachusetts, Dr. Frederick Winsmann has a distinguished record of accomplishment. Dr. Winsmann has been a civil servant, a teacher, and a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve; he is now a licensed psychologist and sees patients through his practice while also providing expertise to Massachusetts Courts. Dr. Frederick Winsmann attended a Massachusetts preparatory school, where he played basketball. Recruited as a player, he was a member of the basketball team at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Dr. Frederick Winsmann earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and proceeded to garner successes in a variety of different capacities. Dr. Frederick Winsmann was also a Selectman and a Police Commissioner. Moreover, Dr. Frederick Winsmann accepted the Chairmanship of the Ashland Board of Selectmen when he was only 23 and led the Board of Selectmen for two years. Frederick Winsmann earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, located in Santa Barbara, California. Dr. Frederick Winsmann provides expert testimony in Massachusetts Courts. Dr. Frederick Winsmann has also spoken on various topics. In the spring of 2010, Dr. Frederick Winsmann co-presented on “The Role of Presence, Empathy, and Connection in the Healing Relationship” for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. A former Harvard University Medical School Clinical Fellow, he now teaches at Massachusetts General Hospital. Away from his psychological practice, Dr. Frederick Winsmann stays active and relaxes through martial arts and scuba diving. He is also a fan of golf and tennis and continues to play basketball in his spare time. In addition, Dr. Frederick Winsmann takes pleasure in film and reading; James Hillman and Fyodor Dostoevsky are two of his favorite authors.
