Frank Svatousek

Co-founder of Mint Technology Corporation and Carta Worldwide, Frank Svatousek works closely with card-issuing financial institutions in several countries to offer prepaid cards for several purposes. In his native Ontario, Canada, Mr. Svatousek earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Windsor. Utilizing this educational foundation to launch his career, Frank Svatousek began working primarily with satellite television and telecommunication firms in Canada, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.

 

During his time as Director of Business Development for Mint Technology Corporation, Frank Svatousek negotiated the first bank identification number (BIN) sponsorship with a Canadian financial institution, opening the door for Mint Technology to offer prepaid cards as the first Canadian direct marketer of MasterCard Prepaid Solutions. In March 2006, Mr. Svatousek left Mint Technology to help launch Carta Worldwide, where he continues to serve as Canadian General Manager. Again working with MasterCard, he established working relationships with multiple banks and financial institutions both in Canada and abroad.

 

With offices in Toronto, London, and Morocco, Carta Worldwide continues to expand aggressively, adopting new technologies like Pay Pass and Near Field Communications to offer convenient, easy alternatives to maintaining a checking account. Frank Svatousek remains dedicated to his philanthropic activities. In his hometown of Oakville, Ontario, he works with Kerr Street Ministries, which provides food and shelter for struggling individuals. In addition, he volunteers his time at a long-term care facility, where he provides assistance to patients with Alzheimer's disease. In his free time, Frank Svatousek enjoys studying Canadian history and both playing and watching hockey. I have season tickets and attend NHL games quite frequently. Same goes for the Toronto Blue Jays. I am a general Hockey nut and I still play for fun occasionally.
