An accomplished businessman and educational leader, Fidel Alonso Valls is also a dedicated community member. Mr. Valls continues to be involved in his community through civic, philanthropic, and recreational avenues.

 

Several of the civic organizations with which Fidel Alonso Valls has been involved include La Parguera Home Owners Association, Workforce Investment Act of Puerto Rico, the Asociación de Instituciones Post Secundarias Acreditadas, the Ponce Federal Bank, the Banker’s Club of Puerto Rico, and the Chamber of Commerce of Puerto Rico. Roles he has held with these organizations include president, director, board member, and chairman.

 

Philanthropically, Fidel Alonso Valls is involved with Easter Seals and the Society for Education and Rehabilitation (SER) of Puerto Rico, both educational and advocacy foundations for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. He also supports the American Cancer Society‘s Division of Puerto Rico and the Lions Club of Puerto Rico, an international volunteer organization. Mr. Valls has served as member, chairman of the board or president with these organizations.

 

A recognized sportsman in his community, Fidel Alonso Valls is a member of the Caparra Country Club, the San Juan Island Yacht Club and the Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club. He is also the founder and President of the Tennis Interclub of Puerto Rico.

 

Professionally, Fidel Alonso Valls is the owner and General Manager of Tropical Aviation Corp.; the owner of two real estate organizations, Tres Amigos Real Estate Holdings and F.A. & Sons Inc.; and the owner of MBTI Business Training Institute. He has been involved in the education sector for 40 years.
