Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Communication and Public Relations from the University of Akron in Ohio State, Ms. Eva Mastromatteo went on to join Nexstar Broadcasting's station WBRE in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as a vibrant newscaster. Serving as a morning news and 11AM news anchor for the NBC affiliate, Ms. Mastromatteo is tasked with reporting on general news stories across the local community. Included in her anchor repertoire is the "Teacher of the Month" series. Ms. Eva Mastromatteo demonstrates her versatile skills in the industry, producing and anchoring local cut-ins during the network's morning newscasts. Following an exigent format change with the morning team on WBRE, Ms. Mastromatteo played a key role in building consistency within the team and network. Possessing a clear command over her various roles with WBRE, Eva Mastromatteo garnered invaluable experience previously serving as a longtime general assignment reporter and producer over the course of her career through affiliate and cable stations and radio networks. In addition to her duties in the broadcasting sector, Ms. Eva Mastromatteo is a wholehearted altruist. Ms. Mastromatteo generously contributes to the Mahoning Valley Chapter of American Heart Association and frequently participates in Walk-A-Thons for the American Cancer Society. She is a frequent volunteer with the Youngstown-Warren Junior Women's League and former member of the MVP 20/30 Club. Ms. Mastromatteo currently serves as Pageant Chairperson for the Greater Youngstown Italian Festival.
