Committed to economic progress and environmental sustainability, Erol User holds more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, businessman, and diplomat. Erol User serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of USER Corporation, one of the largest investment banking companies in Turkey. As leader of the corporation, Erol User promotes the growth of companies in many important sectors including media, technology, sustainable goods, energy, and logistics. Erol User’s company guides clients in debt alleviation, privatizations, and mergers and acquisitions. Erol User draws on extensive expertise as well as an impressive educational background. The recipient of a degree in finance and management from Istanbul University, Erol User also earned a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Vienna University of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Erol Users utilizes his skills in leadership and communication within his post at USER Corporation as well as in a variety of international relations avenues. Working to encourage peace between nations and societies, Erol User helped facilitate the historic first meeting between the prime ministers of Greece and Turkey. His labors earned him the 1988 The Outstanding Young Person (TOYP) award. Erol User travels the globe delivering enlightening presentations on alternative energy sources, the rights of women, intelligent utilization of capital resources, and international mediation. Frequently featured in major media outlets including Dateline and the Turkish Daily News, Erol User received the United Nations Joint Award with the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) and the White Pigeon Peace Award. Officially honored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Erol User enjoys scuba diving, golf, and reading in his spare time. He has two sons.
