About Eric Ralls
Eric Ralls has led a distinguished career in web-based enterprise development. As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of redOrbit.com, Eric Ralls is both a web developer and an entrepreneur. Since its launch in 2002, Ralls’ company has become a leading online content and community center for people with interests in diverse fields, including technology, space, science, and health. RedOrbit caters to an educated, intellectually inclined audience, and it receives on average more than 5 million unique visitors per month.
Eric Ralls’ work in web development has earned him recognition from prominent groups such as the Web Marketing Association, from which he received the 2006 WebAward. Established in 1997, the Web Marketing Association holds the annual WebAward Competition, a contest that selects the top developers and marketers from around the world. The contest is considered the premier awards program for developers. In addition to recognizing Ralls as a leading web entrepreneur, the achievement of the WebAward places his website as one of the top sites in the industry.
In addition to creating and managing redOrbit, Eric Ralls is a partner in Jackrabbit Energy, LLC, a company that designs and builds wind-powered systems in western Texas. The company specializes in renewable energy derived from wind power, and it is currently developing a large-scale energy project, the Tumbleweed Wind Farm, which is intended to power approximately 75,000 homes upon its completion.
Eric Ralls completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University and attended The Thunderbird School of Global Management.
