The article discusses enforcement of privacy laws through state and federal action, litigation, arbitration and more, In 2007, Eric Menhart published “Taxing the Internet” in the Journal of State Taxation, which drew from his research and experience challenging federal laws that conflict with state laws in matters of e-commerce. Examining the difficulty States face in collecting sales taxes on interstate transactions, Eric Menhart offers considered advice on the raodmap States face in regulating e-commerce taxation in a fair and reasonable manner.
