About Eric Lent
Eric Lent is a successful leader of corporate marketing campaigns and strategic development. A market-savvy executive with The Hershey Company since 2004, Eric Lent presently heads the Marketing Excellence and Strategy division of the company. Before assuming his current position, Eric Lent was Vice President of Hershey’s Global Traditional Trade. In this position, Eric Lent oversaw the company’s expansion into emerging markets around the world. Eric Lent continues to advance The Hershey Company with his visionary approach to strategic operations and marketing that have proven successful. As Vice President, Global Traditional Trade, Eric Lent exceeded financial ROI goals at Hershey. Likewise, as Director of Hershey's and Portfolio Chocolates, Eric Lent surpassed the projected business plan by $88 million in sales. During his yearlong tenure as Vice President of Confectionary, Snacks, and Special Trade Channels at Hershey, Eric Lent was commissioned with brand management and financial affairs for Bubble Yum, Jolly Rancher, and Twizzlers. Eric Lent helped Hershey attain the top market share position for the Mints and Refreshment sectors.
Before coming to The Hershey Company, Eric Lent enhanced sales at Eastman Kodak as the Director of Picture Maker Kiosks and Mobile Phone Imaging. At Eastman Kodak, Eric Lent increased the number of pictures printed by 366% in just 12 months. Eric Lent was selected as Kodak’s “Gold List” employee after ranking in the top 5% of the company worldwide employee base due to his excellent results.
A gifted team leader, Eric Lent receives much praise from his employees and colleagues for his outstanding interpersonal and management skills. Eric Lent graduated Cum Laude from Towson University, where he studied Business Administration with a focus on marketing and management and served as President of his local chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. In 2008, Eric Lent received the Dean’s Recognition Award from Towson University College of Business and Economics. A former Cub Scout leader, firefighter, and Emergency Medical Technician, Eric Lent currently coaches wrestling and is actively involved in various charitable causes, including Compassion International. In addition, Eric Lent serves on the board of Pause for a Cause.
