Wielding over three decades of business experience, Mr. Eric Jacobson most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Administration for Penton Media (formerly Intertec and Primedia Business). In this capacity, Eric Jacobson played a key role in managing the Production, Audience Development, and Information Technology departments.

Eric Jacobson commenced his career as a Merchandising Specialist for Harris Corporation. After three years of planning tradeshows and assisting in the creation of marketing materials, Eric Jacobson joined Penton Media as a publisher. Eric Jacobson’s 26-year career with Penton was marked with numerous successes. Recognized among colleagues for his exemplary work, Eric Jacobson earned six promotions to roles of increasing importance and responsibility. As a result of his efforts, Eric Jacobson was honored with the Primedia Business Employee Excellence Award.
An active member of his community, Eric Jacobson channels his professional expertise into a role with MicroMentor.org, an online service providing mentorship and support to small business owners. Through MicroMentor.org, Eric Jacobson was instrumental in assisting an Arizona woman in launching her own business.
Eric Jacobson volunteers with the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (Overland Park, Kansas) and previously with Meals On Wheels. Eric Jacobson has also participated in various walk-a-thons benefitting a wide variety of charitable organizations. Eric Jacobson also contributes to the Kansas City Symphony, Friends of the Carlsen Center, and Cancer Action.
