Eric Fornell leverages more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector to serve as vice chairman of investment banking and capital markets at Wells Fargo Securities in New York City. In this role, he is responsible primarily for offering financial recommendations to clients in the energy and power industries. Eric Fornell has also overseen a number of business development initiatives since joining Wells Fargo in 2012, including introducing and leading efforts to expand the company’s investment banking services into Canada. He also supervised the recruitment of banking team members in Calgary and Toronto.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Eric Fornell worked with JP Morgan Securities, where he held the role of managing director and global head of natural resources for more than five years. In this capacity, he managed more than 100 bankers and directed the company’s worldwide investment banking business in sectors like energy, oil, and mining. In recognition of his accomplishments as managing director, the executive went on to assume responsibilities as vice chairman. Fornell’s career in the financial sector also includes leadership positions with JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs & Co.
