enid brown - Professional Summary: [ I have been working in Education for the past 20 years. My specialism is Careers Consultancy. I have worked with a variety of clients in Schools, Colleges, and University, I also work with companies to help them identify the training needs of the workforce. Lately I have been running bespoke training for individuals and groups who want to return to work or training and are not sure which direction they should be going in. enid brown - Professional Experience: [ I have had a varied work career to date, I started my working life as a nurse with adults and was trained in the city of Derby, England. At age 23, I decided that there must be more to life than, bedpans and spong baths and decided to return to learn. Since then I have discovered there is so much to learn and so many courses to go on that I will have to come back to continue in my next life! I have worked in Housing, as a housing officer, as a Welfare Officer, for young people who were in danger of offending and going to prison, as aTutor for those with speech problems, then I discovered careers work and decided to stay.
I work in a college as a Careers Consultant , I also manage a team of 8 professionals who work with students to make sure they find the righ course and then are able to complete and move on to Higher Education. I have worked with young people most of my working life, although my job as a careers advisor for adults enabled me to work with not just young people but any age as well as those who were over retirement age, many who wanted to do more with their spare time and put something back into society. I have set up and run projects which were humanitarian in nature as well as set up and ran a traing organisaton]

enid brown - Interests: [ I enjoy keeping fit and have over the years tried to keep in shape. I have competed in sports particularly Athletics and used to represent my county. I lplay all the racket sports and have been teaching my son to play tennis, but it seems football is winning! I also enjoy a good book especially "who dunnit" such as Dick Francis would write,and espionage with John Le Carrie ]
