Emmanuel Mendy is a Spanish professional football player, who was born on March 30, 1990 in Medina Gounass, Senegal.
Being a versatile defender, he is capable of playing in the right-back as well as the left-back position in the football field. Though he is not tall like most football defenders, still Emmanuel Mendy manages to defend with his good handling of the ball and powerful shots. He improved his football skills with every training session and every match he got to play with Murcia Deportivo Club de Futbol in Spain.
His impressive performances caught the attention of Rafael Benitez, the manager of the Liverpool Football Club (FC), which signed a three-year deal with the talented young player on a free transfer in July 2008.
