A vintage sports car enthusiast, Elliott Dolin has participated in Italy’s historic Mile Miglia, the most beautiful and striking road event in the world. As these types of multi-day 1000-mile driving events are his passion, he also regularly participated in prominent charity-based events of this type in the U.S. such as The Colorado Grand, The Copperstate 1000 and The California Classic. The Colorado Grand serves to support local charities like the Association for Community Living and the Provident Flight for Life as well as the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation. Aside from taking part in driving events, Elliott Dolin has enjoyed much success as an exhibitor at the most prestigious showing of automobiles in the world – the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. In 2008, he garnered a First-In-Class trophy with his 1953 Siata 208S Spider Motto Roadster in the O-1 Postwar Sports Class.
In addition to his involvement with the automobile hobby, Elliott Dolin pursues a variety of philanthropic endeavors. Elliott Dolin’s contributions to Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), Homeless Health Care Los Angeles, the Ezer Mizion bone marrow transplant drive and the Muscular Dystrophy Association demonstrate his passion for widespread health care. Additionally, Elliott Dolin supports Jewish community organizations such as Chabad of California, whose community outreach, youth, and drug rehab programs are open to all denominations. A distinguished civic leader, Elliott Dolin served as a Volunteer Project Manager in the major remodeling of the former Daniel Murphy Catholic High School in Los Angeles. This four building school campus on 4 prime acres will now serve as home to Yeshiva Aharon Yaakov-Ohr Eliyahu Academy, for which Elliott Dolin served as Chairman of the Building Committee.
Besides his charitable interests and pursuit of other hobbies, Elliott Dolin still enjoys the occasions on which he has the opportunity to get together and play music with other musicians. Formerly a professional studio and backup musician, he led a successful career that started in New York and led to Nashville, Tennessee as well as overseas. Among his artistic successes, Elliott Dolin served a brief stint as bass player for The Manhattan Transfer, and he performed with major country music stars such as Brenda Lee and Ray Price. While recording overseas, Elliott Dolin performed with Swedish rock star Eva Dahlgren. In 1979, Elliott Dolin was included on the album “Finns Det Någon Som Bryr Sig Om.”.
In addition to everything else, , Elliott Dolin is a student of viticulture and enology (grape growing and wine making). He has taken classes in wine appreciation, wine history and wine making both at UCLA and UC Davis. Elliott Dolin cultivates his own vineyard and enjoys taking advantage of a close proximity to California’s exceptional wine regions. Prior to launching his remarkable career, Elliott Dolin attended Boston University and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
