A former Senior Manager of Scientific Communications at Sepracor Inc., Elizabeth Goodwin managed a multi-stream flow of communication materials that included posters, abstracts, and manuscripts for the company’s respiratory and central nervous system treatments. The pharmaceuticals are used in remedying a wide variety of ailments, including obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, allergic rhinitis, epilepsy, pain, and asthma. A member of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals and the American Medical Writers Association, Elizabeth Goodwin holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and a Doctorate from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. In 1994, she began her professional career an Assistant Professor in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, teaching in the Department of Cell & Molecular Biology while also conducting research and publishing six manuscripts in peer review journals. Elizabeth Goodwin went on to become an Associate Professor of Genetics at the University of Wisconsin, where she taught graduate and undergraduate students and published studies in journals, such as Science, Molecular Cell, and Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.

In her free time, Elizabeth Goodwin supports local charitable organizations. She recently participated in the Massachusetts Ride for the Cure to benefit Susan G.
