Introduction
Elfi Duntov, the wife of the late Zora Duntov (the first Chief Engineer of Corvette), granted the Duntov Motor Company permission to organize under her name. Duntov Motor Company is based out of Farmers Branch, Texas, a suburb northwest of Dallas, and is led by Edward Sevadjian, the former head of the parts department and the newly appointed President of the company. Sevadjian is young but is the furthest thing from a stranger to vintage racing corvettes or vintage road racing. In fact, since the age of six, he has been at his father's side learning how to race, restore, and work on corvettes and attending every single Duntov team race.
Career
In 2005, Edward Sevadjian and his team at Duntov made a great achievement and manufactured the first vintage racing-approved Grand Sport replica, named the Duntov LightWeight. Each LightWeight vehicle is built on-site and is historically accurate. Sevadjian co-drives the factory racecar with his father, Alan, and is a current member of Historic Sportscar Racing, Sports Car Club of America, and Sportscar Vintage Racing Association. One of Sevadjian’s favorite quotes by Ernest Hemingway is: "There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games." In light of this reference, Sevadjian is a true sportsman, having participated in the Kohler International Challenge in 2006, as well as the HSR Walter Mitty Challenge, in which he raced the Duntov LightWeight. When he is not busy working with his team at Duntov Motor Company, Sevadjian remains active by auto racing, karting, and playing softball.
Education
Edward Sevadjian attended Colorado State University as a history and business major, where he made time amid his academics to play football, water polo, soccer, and basketball.
