Jewelry is loved by women of all ages. It is a women’s best friend in every sense of the term and she values her pieces of jewelry in every way possible. For so long diamond had been of utmost importance when it came to jewelry pieces. Marilyn Monroe famously sang “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”. But the best friend has recently changed with women giving more attention to silver jewelry than diamonds.

silver jewelry has taken an absolutely new meaning with the introduction of silver rings. It is a United States based culture which encourages teenagers to observe celibacy and not indulge in sexual activities before they are married. In its essence it is a religious message which says that people should remain holy before they are bonded in the sanctity of marriage. It is also used as a signal to others proclaiming their pledge of celibacy. After the teenagers have put on the rings they have vowed to remain celibate. The ring is usually worn in the ring finger.

It has been made famous by the Jonas brothers who wore these rings as a sign of their celibacy. Whether it was a publicity stunt to keep hold of their fans who are mostly teenage girls or not is highly debated. Nonetheless, the silver rings become popular in the United States of America and in other parts of the world as well.

Silver rings are preferred for wedding bands as well. Some coupes are no longer opting for the traditional white gold but are using silver for their wedding bands. Silver is good for engagement rings as well. A silver ring adorned by an expensive rock can easily melt the heart of a girl. These rings are contemporary and traditional at the same time.
