Dr. Michael Tilson devotes his professional life to the health of his patients' teeth, particularly if the root has become damaged or infected. Owner of his own practice in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Dr. Michael Tilson earned his MS in endodontics at Case Western University, after earning a BA in chemistry and a DDS in dentistry at West Virginia University.
Dr. Tilson's treatment begins with diagnostic tests to determine whether root canal work is necessary. If so, he will apply a local anesthetic and remove infected or inflamed material from the canal. He will then shape and seal it to prevent further infection. Normal dental hygiene should allow the new tooth to last as long as natural ones.
Michael Tilson, DDS, is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontics, and the Ohio Association of Endodontics. In his free time, he stays in shape by lifting weights. He is also involved in rescuing lost dogs.
