Barot developed his specializations over the next four years at Jackson Memorial Hospital and then spent a year at Yale School of Medicine as a fellow in sleep medicine before returning to Virginia to begin private practice with his father.
Today Dr. Ikshvanku A. Barot is associated with the Virginia Neurology and Sleep Centers as sleep-disorder specialist, in addition to maintaining attending privileges at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Dr. Ikshvanku A. Barot combines these activities with an assistant professorship at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
