About Dr Beers
Dr. Dan Beers leverages over a decade of professional medical experience toward his role as an ophthalmic surgeon at the Peninsula Laser Eye Medical Group. Dr Dan Beers works closely with each patient to create treatment plans that best serve the patient’s unique needs. Having completed thousands of LASIK, cataract, and lens implant procedures, Dr. Dan Beers is considerably experienced in the complexities and nuances of the process. Dr. Dan Beers’ services include knowledge and usage of advanced systems such as VISX Wavefront and IntraLase. Dr. Dan Beers also implements the usage of innovative intraocular lens products such as Crystalens, ReSTOR, and toric intraocular lenses. Dr. Beers is a speaker for Alcon, the company that invented the Restor lens. He speaks to other physicians about the determining the ideal candidates for the Restor lens.
Recently named one of the top ophthalmologists in the Silicon Valley by San Jose Magazine, Dr. Dan Beers also enjoys a solid reputation for his ophthalmology work at El Camino Hospital where he is the Chief of Ophthalmology.
When he is not performing laser eye corrections or cataract surgeries, Dr. Dan Beers plays an important role as an adjunct ophthalmology faculty member at Stanford University, where he teaches the department’s current residents the latest techniques in the field.
Dr. Dan Beers is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the latter to which he has made various presentations concerning the latest advancements in laser vision correction.
Passionate about helping others, Dr. Dan Beers has volunteered his skills to provide pro bono medical care in impoverished areas of Peru and Mexico.
Dr. Dan Beers holds an MD from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BA from the University of California, San Diego.
