About Dr. Timothy Byrd
To prepare for his successful career in cosmetic and general dentistry, Dr. Timothy Byrd completed thorough education and training programs spanning several years. For his undergraduate education, Dr. Timothy Byrd attended Lee University in Tennessee, where he participated in building a campus clock tower along with his Upsilon Xi fraternity. Studying life and chemical sciences, Dr. Timothy N. Byrd earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Timothy Byrd’s education continued with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, which he pursued at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. A prominent figure in his medical class, Dr. Timothy Byrd was selected to represent the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at the conference of the American Student Dental Association four years in a row. Upon graduation, Dr. Timothy Byrd chose to extend his training with a residency at the University of Vermont College of Medicine/Fletcher Allen Hospital. Dr. Timothy Byrd completed general anesthesia rotations at the university and also achieved Chief Resident of Dental Surgery status at Fletcher Allen. Dr. Timothy Byrd’s additional training included emergency dental cases; he treated mandibular and maxillary fracture cases, as well as patients with lacerations of the neck, face, and head.
In 2002, Dr. Timothy Byrd founded his own practice, Timothy N. Byrd, DMD and Associates, PC. Starting with one Woodstock, Georgia, office nearly a decade ago, Dr. Timothy Byrd has built the brand to include two additional locations to serve patients in Douglasville and Alpharetta. As part of his commitment to quality patient care, Dr. Timothy N. Byrd encourages continuing education for his dental team. Dr. Timothy Byrd’s practice offers general and cosmetic dentistry, including Zoom whitening, periodontal therapy, Da Vinci porcelain veneers, removable prosthetics, tooth-colored fillings, bridges, crowns, extractions, implants, and root canals.
Dr. Timothy N. Byrd holds membership with the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. In addition to his private practice work, Dr. Timothy Byrd supports the vision of Smile Train, a dental and dental surgery organization that helps children in need.
