With over 35 years of general dentistry experience, Dr. Robert Veligdan has earned the trust and respect of his clients, many of whom have continued as loyal patients for many years. In addition to offering superior skill and service in all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Veligdan excels as a cosmetic dentist and restorative artist specializing in porcelain laminate veneers and teeth whitening. Currently, Dr. Veligdan runs a private practice out of his Madison Avenue office in New York City. Prior to working at his current location, Dr. Veligdan spent over 20 years in private practice in an office on Central Park South, where he worked as a full mouth restorative and general dentist. During the course of his extensive career, Dr. Robert Veligdan also worked alongside numerous general dentists and specialists in the greater New York City area.
Dr. Robert Veligdan’s remarkable academic career began at the University of Pittsburgh in 1967, where he double majored in Psychology and Dentistry and graduated cum laude one year ahead of schedule. Continuing at the University of Pittsburgh for his graduate work, Dr. Veligdan thrived as both a dental student and music student. A multitalented musician who played the clarinet, flute, saxophone, and classical and folk guitar, Dr. Veligdan enjoyed exploring many styles of music. Dr. Veligdan pursued additional graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health at the same time that he worked toward an advanced dental degree at the School of Dental Medicine. In 1975, Dr. Robert Veligdan earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine and immediately went to work as a part-time dentist and a Clinical Instructor at Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery (now the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine). Throughout his career, Dr. Veligdan excelled as an educator, general dentistry practitioner, and cosmetic and reconstructive dentist. Dr. Robert Veligdan presents numerous lectures and seminars around the country, and he remains active in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
