As a guest on a variety of national television shows, Dr. Reed Moskowitz has shared his knowledge of stress-related illness with viewers nationwide. Appearing on CBS This Morning, 60 Minutes, NBC’s The Today Show, and CNN Sonya Live, he has enlightened viewers on the mind-body stress connection, his psychiatric specialty since 1971. Dr. Moskowitz also reached an international audience during an interview on The World Tomorrow, formerly the United States’ top religious program, which aired on 380 stations across the globe. The show’s host, David Hulme, was filming an installment entitled “The Hostile Heart” when he sought the doctor’s professional opinion on how hostility and rage can damage the heart. A notable accomplishment for Dr. Reed Moskowitz, the show was viewed by an estimated 1.3 million people, and his input was greatly appreciated by the show’s staff.

 

Dr. Reed Moskowitz has also utilized his decades of psychiatric experience to educate National Football League viewers. He joined a Sunday NFL half-time show on CBS Sports to discuss “burnout” in professional sports. Marking the first time that a psychiatrist had appeared before a nationwide audience of NFL viewers, Dr. Reed Moskowitz set a precedent. Dr. Reed Moskowitz received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in 1967. Upon earning his undergraduate degree, he advanced directly to the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1971. Dr. Reed Moskowitz completed his residency in psychiatry in 1975 at Columbia University Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital.
