About Dr. Patrick Muffley
Dr. Patrick Muffley serves as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology with Embody Wellness Obstetrics & Gynecology. In this position, Dr. Patrick Muffley has introduced several new in-office procedures to Embody Wellness Obstetrics & Gynecology that afford economic benefits to patients. Dr. Patrick Muffley's purview of medical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of urinary disorders, endometrial ablation for dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and hysteroscopic sterilization. Dr. Patrick Muffley has cultivated a particular interest in treating urinary incontinence and providing minimally invasive surgeries, such as laparoscopic hysterectomy and hysteroscopic sterilization.
Dr. Patrick Muffley received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
In addition to his practice as an OB-GYN, Dr. Patrick Muffley has contributed to his field through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and through conducting extensive original research. Dr. Patrick Muffley has authored two book chapters and has delivered presentations at professional symposiums and conferences across the nation. Dr. Patrick Muffley is a leading authority on the management of missed abortions, umbilical cord prolapse, shoulder dystocia, and amniotic fluid levels.
Dr. Patrick Muffley’s outstanding career is marked with numerous awards. OB-GYN Intern of the Year, Dr. Patrick Murphy also won the 1999 Portsmouth Naval Research Competition and received the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Chairman’s Award for best scientific paper.
