About Dr. Ogi Ressel

Dr. Ogi Ressel - Professional Summary:

An experienced clinician and chiropractic specialist with a reputation as a children’s doctor, Dr. Ogi Ressel leads the Practice Evolution Program. Limiting the program to approximately 100 students per year, Dr. Ogi Ressel works with doctors on improving patient interface and community outreach strategies. With courses held regularly in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and in Hilton Head, South Carolina, he offers participants extended mentorship over a 24-month period. Prospective students are encouraged to complete the diagnostic Practice Health Mini-Check Up at www.practiceevolution.com.

Dr. Ressel’s curriculum draws on more than two decades of experience as the owner of Patient First Chiropractic & Wellness Centre in Burlington, Ontario. From 1976 to 2003, he led a practice that maintained a full staff of associate specialists and enjoyed a two-month patient waiting list. Dr. Ogi Ressel emphasized “patient first” pediatric and family care, interacting with the wider community as a prominent author and researcher. He notably authored Alive magazine’s “Kids First” column for several years and published scholarly articles such as “Chiropractic and Children: A Rationale for Care,” which appeared in the International Review of Chiropractic. He is currently writing an article, “Popular Beliefs and Misconceptions in Practice,” to be published.

Experienced as an instructor, Dr. Ogi Ressel taught pediatrics at his alma mater, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He also served as Clinical Supervisor with the institution’s outpatient facility and developed the clinical spinal degeneration charts that many chiropractors use in their offices. Aware of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Ogi Ressel served as Chairman of the Ontario Chiropractic Association’s Publication and Ethics and Discipline Committees.

Dr. Ressel remains strongly involved in his community, having established a scholarship, administered by the Halton Board of Education, for Burlington students who want to enter careers in chiropractic care. Dr. Ogi Ressel maintains membership in an advisory group supporting the National Child and Family Advocacy Council of Canada’s Family Assistance and Parent Support Program.
