About Dr. Nir Hus
Dr. Nir Hus - Professional Summary:
A bilingual physician, Dr. Nir Hus earned his doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of Miami in 2005. Earlier that year, Dr. Nir Hus completed a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. Before beginning his graduate studies at the University of Miami, Dr. Nir Hus completed a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology. Dr. Hus went on to complete three internships with national and regional organizations, including the Massachusetts-based Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Florida-based National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Nir Hus began his practice as a Medical Researcher and Surgeon. Dr. Hus completed a five-year surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Miami campus and continues to conduct research. With ongoing study, Dr. Hus’ published works include a review of more than 70 cases of gynecological oncology and a piece on the clinical outcome analysis of stage 1B cervical cancer from 1990 thru 2004. Dr. Hus started Advanced Technologies Consulting Group, Inc., after college and worked with the company for a decade, contributing to its virtual record tracking solutions for physicians.
In 2000, Dr. Nir Hus received a patent for Xcisor, a medical tool used to extract DNA. Dr. Hus also developed a fluoroscopic technique that earned a provisional patent in 2008.
From 2010 to 2011, Dr. Nir Hus participated in a fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Dr. Hus is a member of the American Medical Association and holds several certifications from Microsoft.
Outside of work and research, Dr. Nir Hus enjoys jogging, reading, and spelunking.
