About Dr. Navid Navizadeh
Santa Clarita Valley physician Dr. Navid Navizadeh is a widely respected medical researcher who has made significant contributions in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine. As an undergraduate student at the University of California, Dr. Navid Navizadeh won a research fellowship in molecular and cellular biology at UCSF. After graduating with highest honors from the University with degrees in genetics and molecular biology, Dr. Navid Navizadeh enrolled at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. While studying medicine at USC, Dr. Navizadeh worked on research projects in the fields of ultrasound imaging, obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility. Dr. Navid Navizadeh also received an award from the Pacific Coast Fertility Society for his work in estrogen research. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Navid Navizadeh completed an internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Maimonides Medical Center in New York. Dr. Navid Navizadeh continued to build his reputation as a researcher during his residency, working on an award-winning study on the use of ultrasonography to predict preterm labor. Dr. Navid Navizadeh also participated in research that improved the understanding of the relationship between embryo size and quality and in-vitro fertilization success. Following his residency, Dr. Navizadeh won the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Galloway Fellowship. At the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Navid Navizadeh studied complex gynecological procedures and laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical techniques. As the lead physician at the Valencia Center for Women’s Health in Valencia, California, Dr. Navid Navizadeh continues to research new medical treatments and procedures. Dr. Navid Navizadeh pioneered the use of the transobturator sling procedure for treatment of urinary incontinence and has developed an innovative strategy for treating female sexual dysfunction.
