About Dr. Michael Locker

Dr. Michael Locker earned his medical degree by studying behavioral biology and kin recognition at some of the country's most prestigious schools. As an undergraduate, Dr. Michael Locker developed an original thesis on kin recognition in X. laevis tadpoles, observing their behavioral patterns throughout his senior year. Dr. Michael Locker continued to broaden his understanding of evolution by researching transposable elements in the fruit fly, D. melanogaster, creating a graduate thesis based on identification and isolation of several key mutant flies in his lab.


While studying full time, Dr. Michael Locker conducted a review of a significant amount of literature regarding a similar subject. Dr. Michael Locker garnered recognition from both his undergraduate and medical schools for his contributions.


Since completing his education, Dr. Michael Locker has remained active in evolutionary biology. In his free time, Dr. Michael Locker enjoys visiting local natural history museums and staying in contact with a medical school mentor.
