About Dr. Lonny Erickson
A researcher and consultant with over two decades of expertise in the area of public health, Dr. Lonny Erickson currently focuses his efforts on economic evaluation projects for new immunization programs in collaboration with the Institut national de santé publique du Québec. Lending his knowledge in a variety of capacities, Lonny Erickson simultaneously works with Éditions Transcontinental Inc in Montreal, where he provides services translating and editing material for publications and Internet. Moreover, Lonny Erickson is currently completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on the evaluation of immunization programs at the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University.
Lonny Erickson’s previous positions include contributions to the World Health Organization, where he served on the Expert Committee on strategy for meningococcal polysaccharide vaccination in Africa. Lonny Erickson also formerly served as a Senior Associate in Health Technology Assessment for BioMedCom Consultants, Inc., where he participated in assignments from the Division of Immunization at Health Canada and Pasteur Merieux Connaught (Aventis) with the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Lonny Erickson received his Doctorate in Public Health from the Département d’administration de la santé at the Université de Montréal. Lonny Erickson earned his Master’s degree from the Faculté de médecine at the Université de Sherbrooke and his Bachelor’s in Physiology from McGill University.
Outside of his professional activities in the field of public health, Lonny Erickson is an active whitewater paddler with the Montreal Kayak Club and has been a volunteer with the Portageurs Canoe Club and the Groupe de Protection et acces à la Riviere Rouge.
