About Dr. Lamont Tyler
A specialist in family medicine and urgent care, Dr. Lamont Tyler completed his undergraduate degree at Loyola University Chicago. Majoring in biology, Dr. Lamont Tyler graduated with Dean’s list recognition and a Bachelor of Science. Following his education at Loyola, Dr. Lamont Tyler received medical training at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lamont Tyler then completed his family medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
As the Medical Director at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center PromptCare since 2006, Dr. Lamont Tyler oversees a state-of-the-art facility that offers important medical services for patients on a walk-in basis. Dr. Lamont Tyler rose quickly through the ranks after joining OSF St. Joseph Medical Center PromptCare, becoming Lead Physician after one year and Medical Director after only two years. Dr. Lamont Tyler and his staff at the PromptCare clinic provide urgent care treatment for minor illnesses and injuries for patients of all age groups, as well as such much-need services such as as flu vaccinations and routine physical examinations. The clinic also treats workers with on-the-job injuries.
Dr. Lamont Tyler complements his medical training and in-field experience with memberships in medical organizations that offer opportunities to network with peers, as well as numerous learning resources. Among other organizations, Dr. Lamont Tyler belongs to American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine and the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.
