About Dr. John Goldener
Over the course of his more than 30-year career as a medical doctor, Dr. John Goldener has been involved in nearly every facet of medical management. From his work as the successful owner and director of a large private practice to his role as a Department Head for a major suburban hospital, Dr. John Goldener maintains extensive experience in clinical care, financial management, and administrative oversight for the healthcare industry. Currently, Dr. John Goldener utilizes his years of experience in executive medical management as the President of Goldener Executive Search Associates, a Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based retained executive search firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
Before founding his own company, Dr. John Goldener held senior positions with two international retained executive search firms. A graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. John Goldener began his career in medicine as a licensed pediatrician and the founder of Main Line Pediatrics and Pediatric Associates of the Main Line. In these roles, Dr. John Goldener oversaw a team of 8 licensed doctors and a total staff of more than 50 employees.
Four years after founding his private practice, Dr. John Goldener became the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Lankenau Hospital. As the Head of Pediatrics for the suburban Philadelphia hospital, Dr. John Goldener tackled a number of major projects, including the introduction of a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, the first of its kind in the area. In addition to his work at Lankenau Hospital and Main Line Pediatrics, Dr. John Goldener co-founded the Main Line Multispecialty Group, a large 50-doctor private practice serving a variety of specialty medical needs.
In addition to his medical degree, Dr. John Goldener holds a Bachelor's degree in pre-medical studies from Georgetown University and a Master of Medical Management from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Dr. John Goldener is a member of numerous professional medical organizations, including the American College of Physician Executives, the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians, and the Drug Information Association.
