Tennessee Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD is a seasoned medical professional who has earned several prestigious academic degrees. In 1971, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD completed his undergraduate work from North Carolina State University. Already an Eagle Scout, Jerry Michael Foster went on to earn the Outstanding Zoology Undergraduate recognition and Phi Kappa Honor Society membership. Completing his undergraduate work with high honors in the field of zoology, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD attended both Duke University Medical School and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, completing his doctoral program, internship and residency in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Medical Oncology. Following that accomplishment, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD attended the London University School of Tropical Medicine in London, England.
In addition to a proven track record academically, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD has earned a respected reputation in his local community. An active member of Grace Chapel church in Franklin, Tennessee, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD has volunteered with many ministries and non-profits. From Room at the Inn Homeless Ministry to Samaritan's Purse as well as volunteering on medical relief trips to Haiti, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD believes in helping those who cannot help themselves.
Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD holds membership in several nationally recognized organizations that include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Society of Civil War Surgeons and the Christian Medical Dental Society. Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD is also a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
When Dr. Foster is not serving his patients, he enjoys numerous activities. In addition to reading, hiking and running, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD enjoys the study of United States history as well as collecting memorabilia from the Civil War. A native of Newton, North Carolina, Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD resides in Middle Tennessee with his wife Patty. For Dr. Jerry Michael Foster MD, family is everything. Dr. Foster and his wife have two daughters, who continually bring them great pride.
