Dr. Hershell Steele, DDS, is a U.S. Army veteran currently practicing family dentistry in Fort Myers, Florida. Ft Myers Dental Care formerly Crossroads Dental Care, Dr. Steele brings over a decade of family dentistry experience to his current practice. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and his residency at the Medical College of Ohio (now the University of Toledo Medical Center), and he joined the private practice of Donald Curtis to begin his work in family dentistry . While living in Ohio, Dr. Steele was appointed Lead Dentist in the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department's mobile school unit for preventative dental care. He continues his public service and community involvement in Florida as a volunteer with Project: Dentists Care in Fort Meyers, as well as the Lee County Health Department and the Bonita Springs chapter of the national organization Dentistry from the Heart.
As a dental student, Dr. Hershell Steele, DDS, was honored with the Golden Carver Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry and holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Lee County Dental Society, Inc., and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys theater, film, photography, and writing. Dr. Steele also takes time to travel, practice fitness and bodybuilding, and play an occasional round of golf.
