About Dr. Gary Hitzig
Author and inventor Dr. Gary Hitzig has specialized in hair loss procedures for more than 30 years. Dr. Gary Hitzig has both undergone and developed state-of-the-art procedures to combat hair loss, performing more than 30,000 hair transplantations over the course of his long and successful career.
Dr. Gary Hitzig has maintained an interest in innovation as well as medical excellence. After utilizing a variety of tools and technologies in his clinics, Dr. Gary Hitzig patented the Hitzig Linear Punch in 1998; it is currently in use across the United States. Dr. Gary Hitzig was also a pioneer of the use of infrared light for coagulation during hair restoration surgery. Most recently, Dr. Gary Hitzig has been involved in the use of MatriStem technology to clone hair for restoration purposes.
To remain connected with his colleagues and stay abreast of advances in his field, Dr. Gary Hitzig maintains affiliations with the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), and the American Hair Loss Council (AHLC). In addition, Dr. Gary Hitzig is a former Medical Advisor to the AHLC Board of Directors.
Currently, Dr. Gary Hitzig advises patients at New York Hair Loss, one of New York’s principal hair loss treatment centers. Dr. Gary Hitzig and New York Hair Loss provide a variety of services, including medical treatments ranging from Propecia to Rogaine.
