Dr. Elizabeth Bortfeld

Dr. Elizabeth Bortfeld, a dentist for more than 15 years, worked as an Associate at the Long Valley Dental Group practice for nearly a decade before becoming its owner in March 2010. With a background treating children and patients with disabilities, Dr. Bortfeld specializes in family care at Long Valley Dental Group. In the past, she has worked for the New Jersey Foundation of Dentistry for Persons With Disabilities, traveling with a mobile dental clinic by van. As a general dentist for the foundation, she treated students with autism at Newark Country Day School, children with cerebral palsy at Clifton High School, and children and adolescents with emotional and behavior difficulties at Somerset Hills School. 

Prior her work in New Jersey, Dr. Elizabeth Bortfeld ran a dental practice in Southfield, Michigan from 1993 to 2000. A delegate to the Michigan Dental Association's annual meeting, she received a nomination for Michigan's Young Dentist of the Year and won a journalism award from the International College of Dentists. Dr. Elizabeth Bortfeld earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan and her DDS from University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
