Dedicated to bringing her expertise in neurosurgery to third world countries where it is needed, Dr. Denise Crute travels frequently to Honduras where she serves as a Volunteer Neurosurgeon. Dr. Denise Crute works with Central American Medical Outreach, or CAMO, while basing her support in the city of Santa Rosa de Copan. She has completed multiple trips to that region. Offering her services through a number of venues, Dr. Denise Crute also works on the ground in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula with the Foundation for International Education in Neurosurgery, or FIENS.

In addition to her contributions to society in the medical field, Dr. Denise Crute offers the insights of her artistic vision. In conjunction with other women that work as both artists and neurosurgeons, Dr. Denise Crute recently published Heart of a Lion, Hands of a Woman.
