Dr. Anna Chacko - Professional Summary:    Dr. Anna Chacko is renowned for her highly productive and varied career in medicine and engineering. Educated in India, Dr. Anna Chacko fulfilled her post-doctoral training at a variety of posts in the United States, spending time in Hawaii, California, and New York. In 2010, Dr. Anna Chacko concluded two teaching positions in the Radiology Departments within the Schools of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Boston University. While a student, Dr. Anna Chacko demonstrated exceptional aptitude and was the recipient of notable awards, including the title of First Rank at Osmania Medical College in India. Additionally, while Dr. Anna Chacko was a medical student, she received the Osmania University Gold Medal in pathology, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. After completing medical school, Dr. Anna Chacko stood out as a remarkable practitioner. In 1985, Dr. Anna Chacko received the Norwich Eaton Scholarship Ward from the Society of Military Otolaryngology and the Scholastic Award of the American Society of Head and Neck Surgery, now part of the American Head and Neck Society. Dr. Anna Chacko's background boasts a uniquely well-rounded portfolio with a variety of capacities, as a teacher, administrator, and a consultant. Starting in 1996, Dr. Anna Chacko served as a Radiology Consultant to the United States Army Surgeon General for Radiology and as an Army Counselor for the American College of Radiology. Additional past experiences include serving as Director of the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to the Commander of the Great Plains Regional Medical Command; President of the American Society of Clinic Radiologists; Chairman of Radiology at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington in Massachusetts; Co-Chair of the Corporate Support Committee for the American Association for Women Radiologists (AAWR); and Vice-Chairman of the Radiology Department at Boston University Medical Center. A widely published author, Dr. Anna Chacko has contributed articles and editorials on medicine and health care, in addition to writing a book chapter for Emergency Radiology: The Requisites. While serving with the U.S. military, Dr. Anna Chacko joined a team of colleagues to develop a Picture Archiving and Communication System for radiology and healthcare imaging. Their design has had lasting effects on the field of radiology, revolutionizing the way radiology was practiced around the world.
