Medical doctor and pioneer, Dr. Alfred Bonati is a graduate of the University of Seville in Spain. Dr. Bonati fulfilled his first residency at the University of Alabama in Neurosurgery Supernumerary, his second at the Washington Hospital Center, and his third at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Diligently seeking to advance his medical knowledge, Dr. Alfred Bonati later joined Moses Cone Hospital and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University as a resident. For four years, Dr. Alfred Bonati focused in the study of orthopedics, receiving extensive training in clinical and surgical management of scoliosis, general adult orthopedics, hand surgery, and microvascular and re-implementation surgery.
Integrating his vast medical experience and knowledge, Dr. Alfred Bonati established The Bonati Institute nearly 30 years ago to apply the most advanced laser treatments to help patients suffering from chronic or occasional back pain. Dr. Alfred Bonati continues to lead the way in the study of laser technologies to treat cervical, thoracic, and lumbar problems. Dr. Alfred Bonati created The Bonati Procedures, which remains the world standard for highly developed laser spine surgery. Over the last two decades, Dr. Bonati has performed The Bonati Procedures more than 35,000 times with remarkable success.
Outside of his professional duty to look after the well-being of his patients, Dr. Alfred Bonati seeks to better the lives of the members of his community through his commitment to charitable service. Dr. Bonati is a generous sponsor of the Volunteer Way Food Bank, Pasco-Hernando Hospice, retired professional football players and Super Bowl winners such as Norm Evan, Cliff Stoudt and L.C.
