About Donna Ron
Possessing exceptional problem-solving and communications skills, Donna Ron has worked for almost 30 years in research, health promotion, budget analysis, education, community organization, and public speaking, among other areas.
Donna Ron’s extensive experience includes contributions to the North American Conference of Ethiopian Jewry, where she was the Director of Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah programs; she has also taught parent-education programs at the Ha’Emek Medical Center and the Mother-Infant Clinic for the Ministry of Health, both in in Afula, Israel. In addition to her work as a parent educator, Ms. Ron has developed, implemented, and researched in-hospital breast-feeding programs for the Ha’Emek Medical Center, along with contributing her knowledge as an interviewer, counselor, and lecturer to the center.
Ms. Ron has worked as the Program Director of Health Promotion and Education for Well-Elderly Women at Isha L’Isha, Haifa Feminist Center; most recently, she has served as the Living Bridge Coordinator for the Partnership 2000 Program of the Southern New England Consortium and the Afula-Gilboa region. In this capacity, Donna Ron performed numerous tasks including public relations; program development and implementation; the hosting of itineraries; teaching cultural customs and behaviors; and supporting the development of bi-cultural and multi-ethnic programs.
Donna Ron attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for her undergraduate studies, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in history and psychology. Ms. Ron later moved to Israel and attended Tel Aviv University, studying at the university’s Institute for Social Research, as well as the Health Systems Management Program of the Recanati School, where she obtained her Master’s in health systems management.
Donna Ron has also completed many continuing education courses on subjects ranging from women’s leadership, breastfeeding, and the economic empowerment of women to community leadership programs, mediation, and bi-cultural facilitation. Donna Ron eventually wishes to commit her life experiences and knowledge to writing.
