Graduating from Principia College in Illinois in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Donald L. Koch enrolled in Trinity College in Connecticut to obtain his MA. After completing his degree at Trinity with distinction, he progressed into the professional world, where he obtained a position as Chief Economist with Barnett Banks of Florida, Inc. Working out of Jacksonville, Florida, Donald L. Koch played a direct and crucial role in the management of an investment portfolio worth several billion dollars. Soon afterward, he transitioned to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Senior Vice President and Director of Research. During his tenure as Senior Vice President, he played an important role in streamlining and facilitating improvements within the organization, which he managed to do successfully despite only small increases in the overall budget. In addition to his innovative work at the Federal Reserve Bank, he also served on the Federal Open Market Committee under the leadership of Paul A. Volcker. In 1983, Donald L. Koch took part in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, further enriching his already extensive professional and academic background. Currently, he serves as the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Koch Asset Management LLC, a firm which dedicates itself to providing its clients with important guidance pertaining to financial investment. In addition to his work with Koch Asset Management, Donald L. Koch also authored a number of popular articles that appeared in journals, periodicals, and publications relevant to his profession. These publications include the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Economic Review, The Banker magazine, and others.
