About Dick Lynch Popeyes

As a Popeyes marketing executive specializing in the food and restaurant industry, Dick Lynch understands the importance of proper diet and regular exercise. During his free time, Popeyes’ Dick Lynch goes for long runs and trains for marathon events. Marathons help Dick Lynch stay in shape and keep his energy high. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Dick Lynch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Entering the workforce, Dick Lynch learned invaluable marketing and promotional skills while employed with Tracy Locke Advertising and Ketchum Communications. Popeyes’ Dick Lynch then began his foray into food and restaurant consultation by joining Campbell Mithun in 1982.

 

Over the following 20 years, Dick Lynch developed innovative brand strategy architectures for food brands such as Domino's Pizza, General Mills, Land O Lakes, Con Agra, and others. Before joining Popeyes, Dick Lynch, along with Kate Richardson, formed GO LLC. There, Dick Lynch pioneered innovative brand and menu strategies for Ruby Tuesday, Burger King, and Let's Dish!, a pioneer meal assembly concept. In 2007, Dick Lynch accepted the position of Interim Chief Marketing Officer of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a restaurant built on a foundation of New Orleans-inspired fried chicken.

 

In March, 2008, Dick Lynch was named Popeyes Chief Marketing Officer and initiated a rebranding campaign for Popeyes. Now known as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the firm benefitted from Dick Lynch's effort to rebrand Popeyes as a restaurant focused on Louisiana cooking heritage, giving menu items distinctive tastes. Realizing the benefits of networking, Popeyes’ Dick Lynch belongs to the National Restaurant Association, which bestows benefits on members, such as educational resources and championing participants in endeavors to start their own food industry businesses.

Created Louisiana Heritage Culinary Institute. Introduced first global new products. Launched first national advertising in brand's history. Won 2010 Menu Master Award for Best LTO.
