From bookkeeping and loan processing to customer support and chain logistics, Delbert Ballou has taken on a number of positions and responsibilities during the course of his career. Since 2008, Delbert Ballou has worked in the supply chain and logistics field as owner/operator of a freight brokerage, Milo Freight Services. The company acts as a liaison between customers and shippers to assist in finding the right shipper and best rates for each individual shipment for customers.
A native of Pittsburgh, Delbert Ballou attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he earned an Associate degree in Art History. He went on to attain a Bachelor's in International Business and Economics at Hawai'i Pacific University, graduating in 2006. While attending Hawai'i Pacific, Ballou went to work for Capital Research Group, Inc., as an Administrative Assistant in the loan processing division. Duties at this position involved using PeopleSoft and QuickBooks software to prepare invoices and post payments and taking care of all details relating to the lender and title company in the closing process. Delbert Ballou also worked in loan processing with Jeffrey Samuels Real Estate Services, where he processed applications for mortgages and ensured that all documentation was free of errors and submitted on deadline.
Starting in 2005, Delbert Ballou changed direction and served as a help desk technician for Fidelity National Information Solutions, Inc., by troubleshooting problems for customers using web-based enterprise applications and documenting all calls into the call center system. By 2007, Ballou gained fresh experiences with DM Insurance, where he served as Senior Insurance Agent. In this position, he took care of customers’ auto and homeowner policy updates and worked with underwriting to reinstate policies.
