About David Woodmansee

A California native, David Woodmansee was raised in San Diego and now resides in Basel, Switzerland. Over the years, David Woodmansee has built a strong career as a chemist and entered Universität Basel as a doctoral candidate in 2006. Since that time, David Woodmansee has supervised the independent research projects of three Master’s students, and he continues to focus on the construction of new tools and the development of novel methods.


Now at work on his first book, David Woodmansee holds 6 patents and has authored 11 journal articles, and he possesses extensive industry experience gained at the Genomics Institute at the Novartis Research Foundation and Ontogen Corporation. David Woodmansee’s areas of expertise include automated methods and robotics as used in chemistry research, structure activity relationships, adsorption distribution metabolism excretion and toxic studies (ADMETox), and more.


David Woodmansee belongs to the American Chemical Society and the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry. In his leisure time, David Woodmansee broadens his cultural horizons by visiting European museums, attending the ballet, and reading. David Woodmansee also enjoys cycling through the European countryside.
