 As a Course director / BSL Teacher/ Assessor, I'm running this unique company called 'SIGNteach', I started as a sole trader in July 2006, but now employ freelance tutors and assessors who are themselves Deaf

 

I am the Director of SIGNteach which is a company that looks to build communication between the deaf and hearing community.

SIGNteach provides service which teaches different levels of British Sign Language to organisations and individuals. This increase deaf awareness and helps to make differnet services accessible to the deaf community.

 

 

David Pilkington - Professional Experience:    

 

I have a wealth of experience since my job links me to various organisations. I have worked in schools teaching BSL and with London Met and Transport Police. This demonstrates the diversity of my work.

 

 

David Pilkington - Education:    

I am an experienced British Sign Language tutor trained at Durham University. I have 10 years experience working on different courses all over London. Being profoundly Deaf, I was raised in a Deaf family and have many years of personal and professional experience with the Deaf Community.
