David N’Gog is a professional football player who was born on April 1, 1989 in Gennevilliers, France. His dad is of Cameroonian origin, whereas his mom is French, and he is also the cousin of Jean-Alain Boumsong, a French international player who plays for Olympique Lyonnais.


David N’Gog represented France in the Under-16 team during the 2004-2005 season and had the most number of goals at the Tournoi du Val de Marne. He carried this impressive form to the Tournoi de Montaigu and became the leading goal scorer again, with five goals, three of them coming in the finals. These good performances earned David N’Gog an opportunity to play for the national side’s Under-17 team. While representing the country’s Under-19 team in 2007, he scored two goals during a U-19 match against England and helped his team to win the match. He was a part of the national team that emerged as the winner of the Sedai Cup in 2007.

In 1995, David N’Gog joined the FC Franconville youth team and played for the club till 2001. Following this, he went on to play for Paris Saint-Germain’s youth club from 2001to 2006. When he was 17, David N’Gog graduated to the senior team of Paris Saint-Germain after signing a contract with them, and this marked the beginning of his professional football career. In 2006, he was named as the Champion of France in the Under-18 category with that club. He played till 2008 at the club making eighteen appearances and was a member of the squad that won the Coupe de la Liga.

After his stint with Paris Saint-Germain, David N’Gog signed a four-year contract to play for Liverpool football club. This transfer was worth £1.5 million and this striker was given shirt number 24.
