David Daneshgar is the winner of the much coveted WSOP gold Bracelet at the recently concluded 39th Annual World Series of Poker in the Event #52 – WSOP No Limit Hold’em, a win that gave him a staggering amount of $624,443 as the prize money. The victory was sweet for David Daneshgar; more so because before this he had cashed at the WSOP events on seven occasions but the gold WSOP Bracelet had eluded him.

A professional poker player of amazing poker prowess, David Daneshgar stays in Westlake Village, California and is a prominent figure at WSOP and other poker majors in the US. Currently ranked at the 46th spot in the Card Player magazine’s Player of the Year standings, David Daneshgar plays poker part time and is a venture-capitalist and investor by profession. David Daneshgar started playing poker while he was a student at the University of California, Berkeley. With time he moved on to the card rooms with cash games at the Hollywood Park Casino in L.A. By 2004, David Daneshgar had already begun making appearances in many of the poker majors in the US.

The WSOP Bracelet at the 39th Annual WSOP was his first, it was not the first time that David Daneshgar had finished in the 1st place; he has done it on six occasions. David Daneshgar recorded his first big cash in 2005 at the LA Poker Classic / WPT Event Season 3 where he finished in the 3rd place in the No Limit Hold'em event to take home $32,713 as the prize money. Then again, in the same year, David Daneshgar took part in the Fifth World Heads UP Championship and finished an impressive 2nd in the No Limit Hold'em event, taking home the prize money of $38,663.

The following year had David Daneshgar putting up a sterling display of poker play at the poker table and notching up some impressive cashes. He finished 1st at the Borgata Winter Open/WPT Event – Season 4 (No Limit Hold’em event), pocketing $110,410 and also took the 1st place in the No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Winnin ‘O’ The Green event with the prize money of $198,000. David Daneshgar also cashed in big at the Legends of Poker/ WPT Event Season 5 in WPT No Limit Hold'em Championship, the 7th place finish giving him $110,910. He followed this by another terrific poker play at the Barcelona Open /EPT Event where he took the 4th place and the prize money of $211,403.

David Daneshgar is today, among the most prolific poker players on the tournament circuit. Consistent play and good form has led David Daneshgar to cash on 51 occasions so far and his total career winnings have reached the figure of $2,316,961.
