About Daryl J Rothman

Daryl J. Rothman, currently attending the University of Hartford in Connecticut, is a 22-year-old, highly motivated and productive individual with a strong humanitarian disposition. Ms. Rothman is entering her senior year of study in psychology while concurrently pursuing a vocal performance certificate from the university’s The Hartt School. A hardworking and dedicated student, Daryl J. Rothman has proved her academic abilities by earning a GPA high enough to qualify for the dean’s list.

Before college, Daryl J. Rothman had already established an unflagging work ethic. In 2004, Ms. Rothman began attending The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division while still in high school, earning a classical voice certificate in 2007. During this time, Ms. Rothman studied in a small class led by internationally acclaimed singing instructor Lorraine Nubar. Daryl J. Rothman also participated in numerous summer programs before graduating high school in 2007. From 1999 to 2004, she attended the Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Conservatory for aspiring performers; in July 2005, she attended the Westminster Choir College Summer Voice Program; and in July 2006, she completed an intense three-week vocal course at L’Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice in France as one of the youngest in her class.

Since 1995, Daryl J. Rothman has performed a great deal of charity work. She has participated in more than 50 community service projects organized by New Jersey’s Kids-for-Kids. Ms. Rothman’s volunteer work includes distributing 2,000 backpacks containing donated school supplies and participating in a dozen walkathons that raised more than $150,000. From 2006 to 2011, Daryl J. Rothman worked as a children’s counselor for the arts and drama programs at the Arts Council of Princeton summer day camp.

In 2011, Daryl J. Rothman traveled to India and the Dominican Republic, where she volunteered her time to impoverished communities. Ms. Rothman will spend the coming academic term working as an intern with the University of Hartford’s Office for Student Life; she plans to graduate in May 2012.
